Forester
Oliver joined Green Timber’s staff in July of 2024 as an intern and was hired onto the full-time staff in January of 2025. His primary duties currently include timber inventory, and he is becoming integrated in helping with QA/QC for the data of projects he is involved in. He has also spent time gaining skills in timber marking and carbon inventory.
He grew up near Grand Rapids, MI and came to Michigan Technological University to study toward a degree in Physics. Once acquiring his Bachelor’s in Physics in August of 2022, he quickly moved on to pursue a professional Master’s degree in Forestry from MTU, which he completed in December of 2023. During the summer of 2023, Oliver also worked as a research associate for MTU as part of Dr. Julia Burton’s Silvicultural Lab, taking inventory on large parcels within the Sylvania Wilderness Area near Watersmeet, MI.
During his free time, Oliver enjoys a variety of relaxing outdoor activities including hiking, hammocking, and swimming. His favorite place to be is at the beach during a nice sunset. Oliver is also heavily invested in a few musical hobbies, being a self-taught guitarist and music producer.
