Matt Yeo
Forester
Matt joined the Green Timber staff in January 2023. He grew up locally in Calumet and graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Forestry and also in 2022 with a Master of Forestry degree. He spent one summer working for Dr. Rod Chimner in the wetland’s laboratory at Michigan Tech helping with wetland restoration, a summer timber marking and cruising for Budweg Forestry, and one summer working as a student assistant in the forest resources division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. His main responsibilities at Green Timber are timber sale layout, forest inventory, and management plan writing. In his free time Matt enjoys golfing, spending time at his camp, and spending time with his friends and family.
